Kaustubh Patekar founded The ProdZen in 2016 and has helped several startups, product and IT services companies scale their business. He regularly writes about product management, strategy, startups and leadership on Linkedin and our own blog. He also speaks at global conferences and regular volunteers to help build a stronger tech product ecosystem in India. Kaustubh is a mentor and core team member of the NASSCOM Deep Tech Club.

Prior to that he was Vice President of Product at Manthan (Algonomy) where he led the transformation to SaaS and built a product management and design practice. He also led several analyst relations and partnership efforts to help Manthan achieve global recognition and distribution.

Prior to that he lived and worked in the US for over 17 years. He was Director of Product Management and Strategy at Oracle, where he worked on acquisition evaluations, integration planning and several strategy initiatives including the early stages of Analytics Cloud to help grow a $2 billion data and analytics product portfolio.

At MicroStrategy, Kaustubh held leadership roles in product management, engineering management and support and managed a product portfolio with a revenue of $100 million. He has a US patent for his work on database and subscription technology.

He has a Master’s Degree from MIT where he studied Aeronautics and Astronautics on a NASA grant. He also has a Bachelor’s degree from IIT Bombay in Aerospace Engineering. He also enjoys spending time with family, reading and running.
